Toe Rail Repair

This classic Hinckley sustained damage to her teak toerail during an unfortunate docking incident. After assessing the damage with the owner, we determined that the best solution was to remove the compromised section and install a precisely fitted teak dutchman. The cracked and splintered material was carefully removed, and a template was created to match the void exactly. A new teak section was then fabricated, epoxied in place, and shaped to flow seamlessly with the existing toerail. To complete the repair, the area was finished with ten coats of Epifanes Gloss varnish, blending the new work flawlessly with the surrounding brightwork.
